Laura Hokett, DVM
Dr. Laura Hokett is an Arkansas native, born in Little Rock. She attended the U of A for her
undergraduate school, and is an enthusiastic Razorback fan. She graduated from LSU with her DVM in 1987. For 16 years, she called Las Vegas home. While in Las Vegas, she owned and operated two large progressive
animal hospitals, and also served on the Nevada State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. Dr. Hokett enjoyed working in Las Vegas and wanted to open a state-of-the-art animal hospital upon returning to Arkansas. This dream was achieved when Best Friends opened in January 2006. Dr. Hokett has 3 dogs, 1 cat, and coy fish. For fun and relaxation, Dr. Hokett likes to work in the yard, scuba dive, travel, dog train, and spend time with her church and family.
